The Certified Process Safety Auditor (CPSA) examination consists of two parts:
Part I. General Knowledge (131 multiple-choice questions; 2 hours to complete)
Part II. Process Safety Auditor (200 multiple-choice/true false questions; 3 hours to complete)
The exam parts are scored individually, and a passing score for each part is 70% of the possible points for that part. If you have previously taken and passed Part I for the& Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA), you do not have to take Part I again. Instead, your original Part I score will be averaged with the score for Part II of the CPSA exam to determine your overall score. If you choose to retake Part I, BEAC will use the higher of the two Part I scores to calculate your average score.
Each of the four specialty CPEA certifications consist of three parts. Part one is the same for each specialty. Parts two and three are related specifically to the field of expertise.
