Registry of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Providers

No Applications Are Being Accepted At This Time.

Each year, The IIA requires those who hold its certifications and qualifications to maintain professional competence through CPE and report their earned hours to meet required standards for continued active certification and qualification.

The IIA regularly receives inquiries from certified individuals about what may count as CPE and from providers seeking accreditation. However, The IIA did not have guidelines – for individuals and providers alike – as to the expected quality of that CPE, other than setting limits for different categories of activity.

With the development of the Registry of CPE Providers, The IIA has set standards for the benefit of the profession.  The goal is to provide clear guidance that will assist individuals when selecting CPE activity and support providers when planning and developing their programs. The program goes further and establishes a process for acknowledging providers that have demonstrated they satisfy those standards.

Providers will apply for the registry and provide required supporting documentation. Once providers undergo a qualification process and become a registered provider, their involvement in the program will deliver benefits to their organization, as well as IIA certified and qualified individuals. This includes raising the quality of what is available and helping certified and qualified individuals make better informed choices.

Additional benefits include:

  • Use of the program logo, which may be used in marketing and promotion
  • Promotion by The IIA on its website as a registered provider, giving access to more than 160,000 IIA certified individuals requiring CPE annually
  • Provides certified individuals with easy access to information promoting a range of IIA registered CPE providers
  • Certified individuals will have greater confidence in selecting a program that has been reviewed and determined by The IIA as being most likely to meet their CPE needs
  • Certified individuals will have more streamlined CPE monitoring and reporting processes, making them more likely to choose a registered provider over another organization
  • Once accepted into the program, The IIA offers a tiered pricing structure for registered providers based on the number of programs offered.
