About the Internal Audit Foundation
Our Mission: To shape, expand, and advance knowledge of internal auditing by developing and disseminating timely, relevant information and insights that address the needs of our stakeholders globally.
Our Vision: To be a vital resource for impactful internal audit and related stakeholder research, educational materials, and practice insights.
Our Strategy: To consistently set the standard for helping practitioners and academics achieve excellence in the internal auditing profession. Established in 1976 (formerly known as The IIA Research Foundation), the Internal Audit Foundation is the nonprofit arm of The IIA. Since its inception, the Foundation strives to meet the following goals:
- Goal #1: Provide internal auditors and related stakeholders with knowledge and innovative insights that enhance the profession’s value proposition.
- Goal #2: Promote enhancements in professional practice through the identification and selection of topical issues of interest to our global stakeholders.
- Goal #3: Produce and deliver a suite of timely and relevant materials that address the needs of a broad range of key stakeholders.
- Goal #4: Deploy both financial and business models that are sustainable for the Foundation.
