IIA Global Chairman Anton van Wyk will join an international panel of experts discussing expectations and the effectiveness of audit committees during the World Congress of Accountants 10-13 November in Rome. Van Wyk, whose chairman’s theme this year is Minding the Gap, will talk on the critical role audit committees play as a conduit between boards, internal auditors, and external auditors. Speakers from around the world will headline the event, hosted by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and Consiglio Nazionale dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili (CNDCEC). Featured topics at World Congress include Businesses Thriving in Disruptive Times; Enhancing Government Transparency and Accountability; and Integrated Thinking. The event isn’t all business.
