IIA‒Estonia Hosts One-day Conference in Tallinn

Last month, IIA‒Estonia held its annual conference, themed “What do stakeholders expect from internal auditors?” in Tallinn. Nearly 130 attendees, 100 of those being members of IIA‒Estonia, attended.

The conference program featured four sessions: Fraud and Risk Management in Private Sectors; What Does the CEO Expect?; How Does Internal Auditing Look From the Perspective of the Board, Audit Committee, and Regulators Abroad; and Public Sector Internal Audit Reports.

Panel discussions featuring top internal audit managers drew praise from attendees. Participants also appreciated the valuable contributions from CEOs during “What Does the CEO Expect?” as the panel provided honest and forthright opinions about benefits in relations between management and internal audit.

Next year, IIA‒Estonia is planning for an even larger conference to celebrate their 15th anniversary.
