New Emerging Technologies Book Released

Internal Audit Foundation’s new release, Internal Audit of the Future: The Impact of Technology Innovation, draws on insights provided by 10 internal audit leaders from PwC to provide a high level overview of the major technological changes reshaping the assurance demands on internal auditors.

PWC’s thought leaders tackle the evolution of internal assurance and point out why we all must embrace technology or fear extinction. The overall message is that assurance has to change and move forward. Most internal audit functions are woefully behind in many ways, and the goal posts are continuously moving.

Help get your internal audit team ready for the future by following these tips today:

  • Keep a sharp eye on the future.
  • Design an internal audit function that thrives in a state of technological evolution.
  • Avoid the internal auditor’s tendency to search for new “standards” and “specifics.”
  • Create a culture of learning and development, of adaptability and excellence.

This new release is an anthology compiled and contributed to by A. Michael Smith, along with nine other PwC internal audit leaders. It is available through the IIA Bookstore.
