LAKE MARY, Fla. (June 30, 2017) – The 29th Annual APEX Awards for Publication Excellence recently announced that Trusted Advisors: Key Attributes of Outstanding Internal Auditors received an Award of Excellence in the category of financial and investment writing.
Written by Richard F. Chambers, President and CEO of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and edited by Lillian McAnally, Quality Manager of IIA Quality Services, the book was released in February by the Internal Audit Foundation and has sold more than 5,000 copies in more than 30 countries. The book has been translated into Spanish, while Japanese and Chinese Simplified translations are currently in development.
Drawing from survey results and one-on-one interviews with nearly 300 top Chief Audit Executives (CAEs) worldwide, Trusted Advisors provides readers with the nine attributes identified as essential to elevating professionals to indispensable resources within their organizations.
The APEX Awards promote merit in editorial content, graphic design, and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. With close to 1,400 entries, the competition this year was exceptionally intense, according to one of the judges, Communications Concepts Editor & Publisher John De Lellis.
Chambers previously authored Lessons Learned on the Audit Trail, published in 2014. The book, which received awards for writing and digital presentation, has sold more than 14,000 copies and is available in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese Simplified and Traditional.
